Formerly the Rotary Chuck Wagon Steak Feed, Plates for Passports is the Rotary Club of Forest Grove’s annual dinner event, raising funds for our club’s involvement in the Rotary Youth Exchange program, providing students from Forest Grove and around the world the opportunity to promote peace and understanding, one person at a time.

For $30 per person, enjoy a barbecue dinner of a choice New York steak or veggie burger, complete with all of the fixings, including baked potato, roll, beans, salad and dessert, plus lemonade, tea or coffee. Beer and wine are also available for an additional charge.

Plates for Passports is not just a community event, but also an opportunity to give youth the opportunity to broaden their horizons through the power of Rotary Youth Exchange.

ABOUT ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE
One of the largest youth exchange programs in the world, Rotary Youth Exchange, provides short and long-term exchange opportunities to youth ages 15-19. Exchanges are sponsored by Rotary clubs in more than 100 countries. Opportunities are available for long-term exchanges, lasting a full academic year, and short-term exchanges lasting from several days to three months.

The Rotary Club of Forest Grove’s involvement in youth exchange predates the formal establishment of Rotary’s long-term exchange program. Our club participates in both long-term and short-term exchanges, both sending a youth overseas and hosting a youth in Forest Grove. In recent years, our inbound students have come from Turkey, Switzerland, Uganda, Argentina and Ecuador.
