The Rotary Club of Forest Grove mourns the death of longtime member Tom Meier, who died on July 21, 2026 at age 87.

Tom was a member of the Rotary Club of Forest Grove for 31 years, joining in 1992 before becoming an honorary Rotarian in 2023.

Born Sept. 13, 1938, Tom grew up in Kelso, Washington. He attended in Eastern Washington University, where he graduated as part of the Class of 1957.

A longtime educator, Tom taught for many years in the Beaverton School District.

Tom held a keen interest in local history and collected many antiques and other items related to the region’s past. His “Three Mile Museum” was featured by KGW in 2023 in a segment of Grant’s Getaways, with fellow Forest Grove resident Grant McOmie.
