Awarded on a semi-regular basis by the Rotary Club of Forest Grove, the Mike Ward Community Service Award honors members of the Forest Grove community who exemplify the Rotary objective of Service Above Self by his or her volunteer service in and for the greater Forest Grove community. The award is named in memory of longtime Rotarian Mike Ward, who exemplified the Service Above Self ideal despite great adversity. Read A Biography Written By Mike Ward

Nominees must live or work in and volunteer significant time for the betterment of the greater Forest Grove area (including Banks, Cornelius, Gaston and North Plains). The nominee may not be a Rotarian, but must be nominated by a member of the Rotary Club of Forest Grove.

Past recipients of the Mike Ward Community Service Award include Jamie & La Grand Davis (Dutch Bros.) and Tori Eaton (FGUCC Severe Weather Shelter).

Nominations for the 2019 Mike Ward Community Service Award are open until Fri., Mar. 1. The award will be presented at the club’s annual Crab Feed on Wed., Mar. 27.
