Nominated by teachers and administrators, and rotated monthly between Forest Grove, Banks and Gaston high schools, the Rotary Club of Forest Grove Youth Citizen of the Month program recognizes students who possess high standards of personal behavior and good citizenship, exemplify the ideals of Rotary, follow school rules and have excellent behavioral records.

From Neil Armstrong Middle School, Anthony Gonzales Rodriguez is being recognized for his weekly volunteering at NAMS food bank, as well as for his participation in after school clubs, accelerated language arts, and honors U.S. history. Anthony is very helpful with other students, hardworking, curious, and thinks outside the box. He proactively pursues his interests, is easy going, and has a big heart.

Geordi Mora Lopez is being recognized from Forest Grove High School. Geordi is in his second year on the Viking House Crew. He represents the program with dignity and pride and was a great host of Family Night. Geordi is always willing to do whatever is needed to push the project forward. He spends his spare blocks in the woodshop, helping other students and working on his own projects. He also is quick to offer transportation to his crewmates, maintains a job, and participates in wrestling.
