FOREST GROVE, Ore. (Jan. 21, 2026) — The Rotary Club of Forest Grove congratulates Rotarian Amy Tracewell, who was recently appointed as a commissioner on the Oregon Heritage Commission by Governor Tina Kotek.

Tracewell will serve a four-year term on the commission, representing the Portland Metro region.

Part of the State Historic Preservation Office, the Oregon Heritage Commission is one of four state commissions charged with supporting heritage projects throughout the state. The commission works collaboratively to champion resources, recognition, and funding for preserving and interpreting Oregon’s past.

Tracewell has a long-standing interest in history and serving the community. She earned her bachelor’s degree in archaeology from Oregon State University in 1996, where her coursework included a formative field school at Champoeg State Heritage Area.

Tracewell has served as director of Pacific University’s Master of Nonprofit Leadership program since 2024, earning her degree from the program that same May. She has been part of the Pacific staff since 2016 and has 20 years of professional experience in nonprofit leadership and management.

In the community, Tracewell is the past chair of Rural Development Initiatives, and is a former member of the Hillsboro Schools Foundation, the Cottage Grove Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Forest Grove Public Arts Commission.

A Rotarian since 2003, Tracewell was the 2023-24 president of the Rotary Club of Forest Grove and is also a past president of the Rotary Club of Cottage Grove, Oregon. She currently serves on the club’s steering committee for the Concours d’Elegance and as co-chair of District 5100’s Learning & Development Committee.
