Welcome Tom Linkhart To The Rotary Club of Forest Grove

FOREST GROVE, Ore. – The Rotary Club of Forest Grove is proud to welcome Tom Linkhart as its newest member. Tom, the club’s first new member of 2021, was inducted during the club’s Jan. 6 Zoom meeting.

Tom and his wife, Sue, have lived in Gaston since 2012.

A native of northern California, Tom graduated from UC Davis in 1970 and stayed at the university for graduate school. After living in Seattle for a number of years, Tom and Sue moved to Loma Linda, California where they worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Tom was also a biochemistry professor at Loma Linda University and conducted research on bone disease.

Tom was also involved with the American Youth Soccer Association for 28 years and with the Boy Scouts of America for four years.

After their children left for college, Tom and Sue moved to Washington and Alaska before finally settling in Gaston.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys gardening, local theater, restaurants, wine tasting and volunteering at a friend’s winery near Monmouth.
